You may be aware that Tasmania's largest rural field days "Agfest" was cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 situation.
This left hundreds of Tasmanian businesses with extra stock purchased for their best three trading days of the year - but nowhere to sell it!  So Rural Youth approached the Tasmanian Government with an idea for an online Agfest.  The government came to the party with a grant to make an online selling platform - which was created in about 4 weeks!  Thus was born Agfest in the Cloud, an opportunity for us all to do our Agfest shopping from home.

Head on over to https://www.agfest.com.au/
There you'll find products and information from over 400 of the businesses that would have been in the paddock this weekend.  No outside entries were allowed, so these are genuine Agfest specials from predominantly Tasmanian businesses.  In the first hour this morning the site was visited 54,000 times!

So what are AEVA doing this year?  We'd normally have a site, and right now we'd be testing out how our new marquee stands up to the rain.  The main service that our volunteers supply at Agfest is talking one-on-one to patrons about electric vehicles.  So this year we've decided to duplicate that online (without the rain), with a series of talks using Zoom.

Here is a summary from the website of the talks lined up so far:
