Organisation and Branch AGM
The AEVA is a branch based organisation, governance resides with the National Council. Each branch elects a branch committee at its Annual General meeting and nominates representatives to serve on the National Council, which acts as the committee for the association as a whole. (see elections) Elections. and General meetings (see Constitution Part 4 (30)
Each branch must hold a General meeting at least once a year to present the yearly report and financial report to branch members and elect a committee for the new year. Incumbent committee members may be re-elected. The Branch AGM must be held before the end of September.
At the AGM –

Annual activity and financial reports are submitted-
Activities for the coming year and any resolution for the national AGM including requests for funding are proposed-
Branch committee elections are held. -Voting by proxy is allowed.
The Branch secretary is responsible for ensuring all branch members receive a copy of the AGM notice at least 21 days prior to the meeting date.
