If they are sealed batteries you need to keep the voltage to less than 2.4 volts per cell
this is the voltage at which they gas causing loss of water and drying them out
12v = 14.4v
24v = 28.8v
48v = 57.6v

But as the inverters tend to overshoot I set my 48v sealed banks to 56.4v and often see it at 57v

Note the 64v inverters have been created in response to my feedback
flooded batteries require 62v for a 48v bank periodically to stop the Sulfation
all the voltages can as coulomb said be found in the manufactures specifications.
