Nissan Announce Pre-ordering for August release of Leafs

Post by tonyw » Sat, 09 Mar 2019, 06:12

I received an email yesterday inviting me to pre-order for an August release...
We are excited to announce that you can now register to pre-order this revolutionary vehicle ahead of its August 2019 arrival.
No mention of price or specs. Suggested dealer link only.
cheers

It's the 40kw and there aren't any real options (I think colour is about it), So 1 flavour and it's $49990 plus on roads.

Sorry, yeah 40kwh.
110kW of power and 320Nm of torque, and equipped with a new 40kWh battery giving it a claimed range of 270km between charging

It's not actually the latest and greatest leaf regardless what the marketing at Nissan Australia say. (the e+ at 60ish kwh is the actual new model)

I was told by Nissan WA that Propilot will not be available. It certainly wasn't activated on the demo Leaf they had at EK...

It's the Leaf 2.ZERO being released here. Leaf 3.ZERO was released in Jan this year for US, Japan, Europe etc. (Sadly, we arn't in the 'etc').
The 3.ZERO has propilot etc. (BTW Leaf 3.ZERO is 40kWh, Leaf 3.ZERO e+ is the 63kWh battery one. 3.ZERO e+ becomes available mid-year, pre-orders started overseas in mid-Jan).
Surprised they are sticking to the 2.ZERO for here though - that is the one they are showing and no word so far on bringing in the latest one.
