Some great news - the Bunbury charger will have it's functionality returned on Friday morning, while the Augusta fast charging station is being commissioned on Friday afternoon!
Also, travellers from Perth's northern suburbs will appreciate this bad boy on Monday afternoon

Why is the station so far from the parking spot and across a walkway?
I'm still jealous.

The fast charge spots are where the Van is

The parking spot in the foreground is the L2 charge (7 kW)

Yes, the uber-reliable

electrobay station near Harbourtown will be replaced with two L2 chargers. We've got a back-to-back version of the yellow bollard.

Hey Chris, don't call it a bad boy. That refers to a direct off mains charger as in direct rectified mains without isolation and was used historically and dangerously and is well known as such by electrical and electronics folk. There will be numerous people chuckling at your use of the expression.
Just google bad boy charger .......
That aside... Good news on the new FCs
Now an FC at RAC Joondalup would be useful if we are to install metro chargers.

Has the CCS connector for Marg River been fixed?
Or is it a case of "stay just a little bit longer" by up to 4 hours?
jackson browne stay just a little bit longer

This clip goes on for almost 10 mins.
Seems that Busselton CCS also dead.
Time to get a tesla. It has more charge options.
Mandurah Chademo holster has broken its mounting points.

Chademo Coupler is OK.
Daniel from RAC in EH LEAF topped up to be sure.

Joseph - is the Busselton CCS doing the same thing as the Bunbury charger? Or was it just the latch broken off like at Margaret River?
Seems really dumb to have the CCS charge protocol completely dependent on an easily broken plastic latch.
By the way, the Bunbury charger is fully operational now. Go and use it!

My assumption is that it is the latch. Perhaps Australia could have gone with mennekes CCS standard ?
Will take pictures at Busselton on way down to Augusta possibly this evening.
Wild weather possible.

72 Blackwood Ave. You might have to race Joseph there!
Edited - correct address is 72 Blackwood Ave. It's operational as far as I know.

Go Matt!
good to see that RAC keeps this page updated
http://rac.com.au/news-community/enviro ... c-vehicles
addresses provided on the page
just remembered that there is a caravan park in Augusta.
But some are closed for winter.
"Please note, the park is closed for winter between 1 June to 31 August (inclusive) each year."

Perhaps we need an Electroball Run?

I'm thinking we might need to apply to the RAC for funding to run the inaugural Plasmaball Run

Mmmmmm... No plasma with AC motors

unless it has all gone horribly wrong.
Got to get the words right.
An EHR with a line up at the charge stations may not send the right message to public ? It will outline the deficiencies of EV charging along the highway until there are multiple FCs ?
Maybe a stack of Teslas with one short range EV in the run ?
