Speed display on volt

Post by g4qber » Sat, 23 Nov 2013, 22:56

Does anyone know if there is such a function?

Imievs satnav has option to display speed

I curently use my ambit watch or iphone to keep track of speed.

Volt speedo shows 5-6kmh over real speed.

Tyres pumped to 40 psi all round.

IIRC the Leaf nav also deliberately does not display speed so there is no challenge with the optomistic vehicle speedo.

I wonder of the model s is the same ?? Image

Most cars speedo's are optimistic.

My ute is a shocker 100kph on the speedo is about 93kph on the GPS stock wheels and tires. Though the odometer/trip meter and lt/100km and so on are spot on. They have tuned in the gain just to the speedo needle. Reading the OBD port reports correct speed.

The Imiev from memory has about 3% gain at the speedo readout. 100kmh is actually 97kph but the trip meter/odometer is accurate same as above.
