I've wanted to do a trip around Australia since I first visited here - I've been all around North America (mostly back when gas was $1/gal in the 90s - hey wait, it's back there now...) and I think if I just wait 5-6 more years, the battery capacity of a normal EV will make it pretty straightforward to do here.

I salute the pioneers though!

Ah but the joy is in the journey, both planning and the drive.

Driving across he Nullarbor many times over the last 40 years has seen that trip change from an adventure with difficulties in planning and dramas along the way to it being a long, boring slog (not quite, I still love it:-). I have seen it change from a bad, gravel, narrow road to a pretty bloody good stretch or bitumen.
