Halving the voltage of an AC motor - 480 to 208V

Hi all

I have opened my motor and I believe I am in luck.

After carefully removing all the conections I now have 12 wires.

6 are the usual star delta conection and another 6 are 3 coils conected in series inside the motor, which I didnt had acess before.

Am I right to believe I can now conect them in parallel resulting in half the operating voltage?

Option b can actually be done to 4 poles as well if the coils are inverted and then conected back in parallel, right?

Any thoughts?

Hi, can I ask the moderators to close this topic? I have posted my question on a more apropriate location.

Thanks, Carlos
