The idea is that when the pack contactors are on the 20S pack is ~152V.
But when the car is off and the contactors are de-energised the 20S pack is broken into 4 x 5S packs.
So 38V nominal and 41V charged.
The output of the meanwell supply has quite a bit of capacitance so I have to precharge to avoid arcing.
Also when the power supply is unplugged from mains but still connected to the batteries it draws approx 60mA.
The HLG-320H-42A has a pot for setting the max current and a pot for max voltage (CC/CV).
It is fanless, IP rated and even when turned up it only gets snugly warm
