Last call - Blade EV in one piece: SOLD

Post by Bryce »

Hi all - have had much more interest in my 2011 Blade as parts than in one piece - which surprises me as it would be a fantastic entry to the conversion field. All the hard work (including certification) has been done - just install your choice of controller, do whatever interesting tweaks you had in mind WITHOUT the months/years of work, then re-register and off you go!

Till now have been resisting breaking it up as it seems a shame - but I do need the space back! So, I am resigning myself to breaking it up if no-one wants it as a going concern.

With that in mind - am reminding people that it is available as a whole, before I relist it as parts.

If after parts - PM me for pre-sales orders!

Parts already pre-ordered so far:
batery pack (me!)
J1772 inlet
steering/AC electric drive motor & controller
Front panels

Details:
2011, Mk5 Blade Electron, complete or as parts.
Reason for sale: since acquiring a Leaf, have simply never been inspired to finish repairing it since it broke down. Time to pass it on.

The good:
Vehicle overall is in immaculate condition.
Is the last of the mark 5’s, so most of the bugs were sorted out (except for having an AZD controller).
J1772 charging

The bad:
Flakey controller. Cuts out at random moments after running for a while.

The repair options:
Replace controller with MESDEA TIM 600 or Tritium Wavesculptor (i.e. same battery voltage)
Replace controller with Soliton or Curtis: (Both require battery pack reconfiguration to lower the voltage)
For those with electronic skills: diagnose and repair the AZD controller. (Good luck!!!)

Any questions or photos – just PM me.
