Hi Guys,
Has the reviewed version of NCOP14 been released? How have people been going with the Emergency disconnect issue. ie mechanical vs contactor relay break. I would prefer to run dual contactors and break the relay on both but are signatory engineers happy with this approach if the revised version of NCOP14 has not been replaced?

Which engineers have people used and what was their emergency disconnect setup?

NCOP 14 is being published soon.
The requirement for a mechanical disconnect has been removed to allow 12 volt operated contactors to be used either instead of or as well as. It is worth having a means of checking that disconnection has actually occurred as contactors have been known to stick closed. Trained service persons would always check, with a meter, that the power has been disconnected before working on the vehicle's electrical system.

The relay won't work if there is a 12V supply or other wiring fault which worries me a bit. I kind of like the mechanical switch as a surety.
