Can anyone think of an objection to fast-charging an AC-regen vehicle by towing it for an hour or so, if it were necessary?

legally you can't flat tow a vehicle more than a certain (short) distance I think.

Ah... legality... I was thinking of other objections.
I once towed a bloke from Leonora to Menzies with my old LandRover, but I suppose we were not worrying about rules out there.
And it was 30 years ago.

Not at all. I often muse about being pushed out of one of the longer tollway tunnels with full regen poored on. 2km at 50 Amps should see me good for another 10k.

Hmmm If you were using regen at 20kW for an hour to regen most of a typical pack would work.
The down side is the petrol vehicle efficiency.
Makes me wonder if it would go further overall if the regen were disengaged.

Would probably work just as well on a tow truck with the drive wheels still on the ground.
At least it would be legal that way.
Just don't confuse the park brake with regen...
So the short answer is NO but the long answer is YES.
