Post by johnfriartuck » Mon, 23 Jan 2012, 17:01

hi this is for anyone wanting to buy a kv180 motor like aussiejesters one on his rc powered cruiser ive been waiting since about september last year for hobbyking in sydney to get them in,so i went on ebay and onto the toys/hobby section and put in outrunner motors there is about 8 pages of them in the last two pages (i think)there are some motors there they are being touted as EMP motors but they are identical to the turnigy there is a kv130 as well as the 180(it states 170 but when mine came the sticker says 180 ? $140 for the 130 inc postage and $149 inc postage for the 170/180 it took about 5 weeks for it to arrive but thats still light years quicker than hobbyking later in my emails to them it became apparent they were the same mob (hong kong branch) go figure! theres about four or each left as of last night so if you want one be quick

The only place I can find the Magura throttle is overseas, http://www.electricmotorsport.com/ The price for it is fair, but the shipping is the killer.

I've bought them from here before: http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php?productid=280

from memory the shipping wasn't too bad.

Just price checked both of them.
Electric motorsport want $50usd for the throttle itself, or an extra $2.50 for the matching opposite grip, and postage cheapest at $34 and $85 for global express.

Holmes hobbies want $41 for the throttle and opposite grip, and $32 or $40 for postage.

Thanks electrocycle, I'd been putting off buying the throttle because of price.

If you want a cheapy throttle, Oatley electronics in Australia sell two types. Priced at about $9 and $14 dollars.
