Voltron-Evo; jonescg's new electric race bike

Anyone that has launched a 10 second bike will know that to get into the 9's you weren't hanging around at the start. ET is won and lost at the start... I still don't get why the Voltron is not faster off the mark though with the whole peak torque thing going on, or is it simply that you can't apply...

Voltron-Evo; jonescg's new electric race bike

We took Voltron Evo to the drags last Wednesday. We're not technically in any category, so a lot of rigmarole would be required to get it licensed for drag racing. However they're clearly a bit more relaxed about it at Whoopass Wednesdays at the Kwinana Motorplex. Pottz did a 9.989 straight out, th...

CPU Water Coolers - Useful?

Forget the peltier, too much current draw for the heat exchange achieved. I would go with Adverse Effects solution and go for the free cooling from the front of the car. If you have the front blocked off you could basically do a ram air effect on the motor. I would however add one small addition to ...

Voltron-Evo; jonescg's new electric race bike

Congratulations, those are some very impressive times! Can you please post the time slip or the various times, curious to see how it stacks up against the bike. Also confirms that my dreams of running 10's on my trike isn't as crazy as I first thought.

Nope that is straight off the CNC, didn't even run a file over it. The quality is 1000% over where I started.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=g4_7GCPbroA No hill required Also not a power burnout, that is a line lock! Note how fast the front wheels move when he starts going. He has either a line lock device fitted (disables rear brakes) or he has disconected the brake lights, but either way he clearly has hi...

Zombie 222

I've done my fair share of drag racing and I don't care how well the rear of the Mustang is set up for traction. 1800 foot pound of torque should be enough to shred the tyres, no aids included. I did some Googling to see what the Mustang has under the rear standard, and it is a big pile of poo. Ther...

DIY CNC Build

Been a while since I have updated this build thread so I thought I might post a couple of "nearly done" photos. Of course we all know there is no such thing as near done as there will always be something to modify in a DIY project. Some of the progress since I last posted... Finished the new Z axis ...

Zombie 222

I'm not a hater but I simply don't get why does he need to do a burnout up a hill if it has 1800 ft pounds of torque? It's like he carries on like the car is all in the hood bad ass, but it need the assistance of the steep hill to do a proper burnout... If it was so all that, then he could just smok...
