I would be accelerating and suddenly acceleration would become regen and vise versa.
There are 2 are things that could cause this:
1. The brake is coming on - check the brake switche(s) and the wiring to the controller.
2. The hall sensor/wires in the throttle is damaged

You'd also loose the isolation as that is done going from 12V-400V prior to the DC bus.

Re: Testing a traction pack before using

Don't forget at 90Vdc a 2400W mains heater only is 300-350W.
So you'd need a few...

For $10 you get 10 x Halogen globes 12V 35W from bunnykings.
8 in series will be ~250W.
$20 - 500W
$40 - 1250W
On plus side you'll brighten everyone's day

So, how's the Handi Sports going.
Well since you ask its nearly done!
Everything I custom built here in WA - motor and all :o

I guess if I imported an off the shelf motor controller and motor it'd be finished a long time ago - but I'd probably be out of business. ;)

I ran out of fuel ON the road but had enough speed to roll into the servo.
Rolled up to the pump only to find out the servo was closed.
Then another person pulled in, on the other side of the pump, put the pump nozzle into their car and stood there looking more stupid than me.
"ah the servo is closed"

I've used both.
Water and electronics don't mix so I prefer the light bulbs.
Everybody's pack is different so each setup is different.

I actually ordered this one from AliExpress https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32888136080.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.2e724c4dH6UCry Yeah I did see those. But at 12V the battery will always be "flat". The nominal 20-80% is 3.2V so 3.0V will be in the last 20% of the cell capacity. It also has no curre...

Re: Soyachips’ Electric FZR250

...traction pack doesn't fit into the universal input AC supplies. ...can you explain what this means? Sure. Most universal power supplies are say 90Vac-270Vac. BUT they can accept DC as well. So this would mean 127Vdc-382Vdc. People who have converted a car and have 144Vdc can use off the shelf po...

We must sell the csiro hydrogen product with determination, and be a real Government, and not a pussy Government, as many, mostly liberal Governments, tend to be. Ah so the CSIRO "were" working on ammonia as the primary export. Its only since the eV manufacturers got their pocket books out and star...

Re: Soyachips’ Electric FZR250

Mmm that would do most of it. It's not quite specific under heavy load. eg the "12V" battery is flat and could take an 8A charge. Add on the headlights and brake lights and you have a 16A draw. Normally works within 150% rated power for more than 3 seconds and then constant current protection 105-13...

Under heavy loads the headway go down to 2V so the minimum should be 48V.

24 cells in series so the input range of the DC-DC needs to be ~60V-87.6V with ~13.8V out preferably with constant current.

Re: Soyachips’ Electric FZR250

Ah I had a quick look yesterday but your main traction pack doesn't fit into the universal input AC supplies.
So you need an isolated dedicated DC/DC - not just an AC/DC with DC shoved into it.
That makes it a bit more expensive.

Re: Soyachips’ Electric FZR250

4 x headway is 12.8V nominal and 14.6V charged.
So anything from 13V-14V is ok.
Most of that would be for the headlight+brake light.

So 100-150W for a DC-DC?
