Any i-MiEV's for sale?

I'm looking for an i-MiEV with reasonable mileage on it and in good physical and mechanical condition.
Willing to consider one with the dreaded "Dead Charger" problem, or other electrical gremlins.
Anything out there?

Regards,
Dave

Re: VicRoads Club Reg

You don't have to be a CAMS (now called Motorsport Australia) affiliated club to be approved for the Club Permit Scheme. However, you do need to go through quite a few hoops and a lot of paperwork with Vic Roads https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/registration/limited-use-permits/club-permit-scheme/appl...

EV-Only "Fuel" Tax On The Govt Agenda

The stupidity of the current governments (state and federal) with regard to the future of the environment reaches greater heights each day. The NSW and Vic governments are now seriously considering imposing a 4c/km tax only on EVs, to replace the fuel excise tax that we are "cheating them out of". h...

Re: Making home EV ready

I think the concern over a 10A charge rate is a bit over the top. After all, we've had 2400W (= 10A) radiators almost since electricity was invented :D . House circuits are designed to handle that sort of load. Having said that, instead of installing a 10A power point, you might want to investigate ...

Re: Is anyone using an arc welder with an offgrid system

Would it help to use a Soft Starter, at least for the motorised tools e.g. https://www.jaycar.com.au/soft-start-ki ... s/p/KC5511

It would probably have a heart attack with the welder.

Auxiliary Battery - Why?

I notice that the I-Pace, Tesla and many other pure EVs still have an auxiliary 12V battery. For the I-Pace, it's an AGM battery, not Lithium, so it's likely to only have a lifetime of ~ 5 years. Worse, it appears that if the aux battery runs down, the whole vehicle is disabled. Presumably, they've ...

Re: Adding battery storage to your existing solar array

Great result. I'm in a similar situation and I'd be interested in hearing more about what you did. In particular, how did you go about having the Goodwe installed and connected to the home-made battery pack? I'm thinking that most sparkies would take one look and jump back in their van. (BTW, what s...

Jaguar I-Pace Forum

Is it possible for someone to add a Forum for the Jaguar I-Pace to the Production Electric Vehicles area?
I don't think a mere mortal can do that.
