Re: Aussie electric vehicle sales triple in 2019

The other thing I forgot to mention is if you ever have to lug around 2 big teenagers (over 6 foot in my case), the small cars are just not practical.

The backs seats in half of these cars are almost just for show when you're tall.

Re: Aussie electric vehicle sales triple in 2019

Purely price. I'd have one if it wasn't so steep. Picking up a Kona for 60k feels like all sorts of stupid to me. Having taken a Tesla for a test drive though, I really want one and will probably get one in 2-3 year period depending on a few factors, affordability being a key component. Nothing insp...

Re: X1 vs S6000?

There’s a change to Aus import rules that kicks-in at the end of this year. We should be able to import and register models of cars and bikes that haven’t been previously sold here. I’m planning to get serious about importing a second-hand Zero (or similar) early next year. Cheers, Pete Q Hi Pete, ...

Re: That truck

I honestly don't know if I'd rather be hit by a F650 or a Cybertruck but I can tell you it wont end well in either scenario. Well in theory there's less chance of the Cybertruck hitting you with all the safety doodads and better braking... In a f650 you're luckily if you get braking performance equ...

Re: That truck

I can’t see any form of pedestrian safety in the design or materials used. Is there ANY truck designed for pedestrian safety ? I know this is an old thread but this a million times. I'm *still* seeing people harp on and on about pedestrian safety... It's not like there's already a tonne of NE...

Re: Soyachips’ Electric FZR250

That looks awesome, cannot wait to see what sort of speed and range you can get out of that - this sort of conversion is very much up my alley if a bike manufacturer doesn't drop something in AU soon. Starting to get really desperate for an electric motorbike. Had a Stealth bomber for a while which ...

Re: How does one buy a Zero in Australia?

Is catavolt still alive as a company? Hadn't seen any posts on social media recently (since last year or jan this year). Hasn't tweeted in years and their website has been under construction for what feels like forever (as a web dev under construction pages give me tiny aneurysms). Not much going on...

Re: The 2019 Zero SR-F

Nice bike but unobtainable as a unicorn in Au, meanwhile across the little ditch people in NZ are personally importing them (Zero's in general).

Would that our country wasn't so painful on importing.

Re: vectrix scooter being sold for spare parts

There's a few talented battery builders about these parts that happily sell their services... :D not adverse to getting a new one built. Hard to verify things are as they should be when the battery is dead with my skillset however :s I'm a complete novice when it comes to electrics, and pretty amate...

I don't suppose any of these are kicking around in Brisbane still?
Only seem to find them in WA any time I look.

Re: Electric Vehicle Survey Australia

Yup it's just a survey platform. A developer will definitely push a survey to get a positive result for their questions, they'll probably even submit more than a few fake anonymous submissions. Ethics? Developer? Hrmn. There's an art to wording your questions, you want (sometimes) to get meaningful ...
