Re: Wanted - CHAdeMO socket / charging port from a wrecked Leaf or iMiEV

Just saw an Imiev wrecking on gumtree. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/slacks- ... 63436_9299
He has sold most of the stuff but the CHADEMO socket could be left.

Re: Imiev keyless entry

Thanks alot everyone. I'll see if I can track down a key from that info.
With a past car the remote locking part of the key was able to be paired with computer even if the key originally belonged to another car.

Mini Cooper E

I see the Mini Cooper E is being sold in Australia. Website says price is $34 870. That must make it about the cheapest new EV available?
Has 230 -260km range too...
Has anyone see one on the roads here?

Re: Qld Moke

Yes that's a good test but unfortunately wouldn't have picked up all the rust in the moke. Turned out it had lots of small holes near each other. So there was still steel for the magnet to stick to.

Imiev keyless entry

Hi all, I'm am a new owner of a 2012 Imiev. Looking in the manual I see that they have keyless entry. Mine came with only a key for the door. Was keyless entry an option or standard? I asked the mitsubishi dealer about a key and the price was high - $500. My googling indicates that it might be the s...

Sad to say the Moke project has been canned. The more I looked the more rust I found. So I have sold it to someone with more time than me.
On the plus side, it made way for an Imiev...

2013 Imiev, just got it. Range is between 60 and 80 from a full charge. I haven't actually managed 80km personally.

The big question I am waiting to see the answer to, is will it let you use the extra capacity over 60Ah.
Keep up the good work!

Re: Minicab miev revisions

Range guestimator on dash is around 92km on full charge. Today we completed a 32km run with two thirds of the battery gauge still lit up. 2 passengers + ~50kg in the back. So it's looking OK so far. So it has about the same range now as an aged 16kWh pack by the looks of it. Bodes well for you bein...

Re: Notes on my commute.

The original bulb was only 35W?! So maybe a good quality led bulb would do the job, if you can get them in 35W.
The cycle analyst on mine shows about 70W usage when bike is turned on.

I have seen some of ones with the 10.5kWh lithium titanate battery in the japanese auctions. Maybe that is the difference between U67v and U68v.?

Re: Notes on my commute.

I had a look at mine couldn't find a brand but I took some photos. I think that because it different bms and charger, it also needed a power supply to run the light. Not sure but there is no reason it wouldn't run off the standard wiring. Thats what they do in cars....

Re: Aussie electric vehicle sales triple in 2019

I noticed the same with the Jaguar F Paces in rockhampton. Wondered what the reason was. One I did find is that the F Pace is half the price of the I Pace. $59k vs $120k+. Similar story with the Kona , $23k vs $60+ made worse but hyundai only offering the electric in high trim levels. Annoys the hel...

I wondered if you could use something like the carbon based paint used in this video to paint resistance heaters on to the cells.

So there is something weird going on. There was no acceleration or regen. And it didn't draw any amps either. I rolled to...
