Elections (Constitution Part 5 Div 3 [50-55] & Div 2 
The Branch committee is elected at the Branch AGM, it should have at least 4 members to fill the positions of ;
-Vice Chair person
other positions may be allocated.
Any member over 18 years of age and entitled to vote is eligible to be elected.
Elections for each of the above positions are held separately, candidates are nominated and a vote is taken, self- nomination is allowed. If only one person is nominated the chair will declare that person duly elected. [NOTE: It is advisable to ensure at least one person will nominate for each position prior to the meeting, to avoid having to re-convene at a later date]
If more than one person nominates for a named position, a secret ballot in writing is conducted.
Ordinary Members on the Committee.
The meeting must decide by resolution how many ordinary members should serve on the committee. These members may all be elected by a single vote. (see rule 54)
In the first meeting of the new committee, it should select the branch representatives to serve on the national council. The number of council seats awarded to a branch depends on the number of members affiliated with the Branch. The formula is stated at 45(5)
50+ =3 seats. 25-50 =2 seats. Less than 25 =1 seat.
Councilors are required to be Branch committee members. 45 (3)
