The Linux Conference Australia (LCA, http://linux.conf.au) is the southern hemisphere's premiere Linux and Free, Open Source Software conference. Since 1999 it brings the best minds in open hardware, software and media together every January to learn and enjoy.  This year LCA is running an Open Day "without walls", giving LCA delegates the chance to see the many creative uses of technology in Canberra.

One of these activites is a meeting of the Canberra EV group near the on-campus accommodation in which many LCA delegates are staying.  This will give the delegates a chance to see several electric vehicles, from the self-build vehicles to production cars.  LCA delegates will get a chance to ask questions of the actual owners of the vehicles, see them in action, and even test drive some.
